Recreation Therapy Services

Recreation Therapists and Assistants assess your leisure needs and plan services to meet them. A broad range of social, entertainment and special interest groups are offered and outings to community events and facilities are scheduled regularly. In addition, you and your family and friends may use on-site recreational equipment, resources and space for individual or group use.

For current information, check the Centre-wide calendar of events posted on your unit, drop into the Recreation Therapy room on the main floor near the main entrance, or speak with your care co-ordinator.

Meditation Room and Spiritual Services

We offer a variety of multi-faith and ecumenical services such as Sunday worship, hymn sings, spirituality groups, reading and audio material, and bedside communion, as well as other programs added as the need arises. The Meditation Room is open as a quiet and restful place for prayer and reflection - located near the main lobby - that strives to accommodate all people. Protestant and Catholic service are held in the Enbridge Auditorium Sunday mornings. A Roman Catholic mass is held at 10:45 a.m., the Protestant service is held at 9:30 a.m. following a monthly schedule:

Second Sunday   Baptist
Third Sunday     Presbyterian
Fourth Sunday   United/Penecostal (alternating)
Fifth Sunday      Penecostal
