Post Occupancy Evaluation

Help future patients by sharing your West Park experience

POE

To help patients get their lives back, we’re building a new hospital! And to ensure we continue to provide exemplary care and operational excellence in the new building, as part of the Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) initiative, we need your help! Do you use West Park outdoor spaces such as parking and drop-off areas, and green space? Do you feel a connection to nature at West Park? We want to know!

Patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, friends and family are invited to contribute valuable feedback on their West Park experience, via a short 20-minute survey. You can make a difference — survey results will be used to improve healthcare design for the future!

To participate in this important initiative or to learn more, we invite you to contact 416-243-3600 ext. 2600 or POE@westpark.org to get started.

FAQs for the POE

Post Occupancy Evaluation — or POE – has arrived at West Park. And we need your feedback! Learn what it is, why it’s important, and how you can get involved.

WHAT?
In preparation for its new hospital, West Park is conducting the POE, an exciting new research study. The POE is a formal evaluation of a hospital’s design, use and operating conditions before — and after — the new facility is built. The POE will evaluate how six elements of our new hospital affect patients, employees, volunteers and family/ friends, and operational efficiencies. The first element to be evaluated is the West Park Outdoor/Green Space.

WHY?
The POE will help us contribute to building better healthcare for the future, by measuring the impact of the new hospital on our quality of care, safety, operational efficiencies and overall user experience. It will also result in a final report for the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, contributions to scientific literature, and opportunities to engage West Park patients, staff and family/friends with campus development.

HOW?
We need your help! The West Park community is encouraged to provide valuable feedback by taking part in a short 20-minute survey. To participate in this important survey, please contact 416-243-3600 ext. 2600 or POE@westpark.org .
