Visitors can be a welcome part of a patient’s support team. Visiting hours are between 11:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. daily, but many patients’ days are busy so it’s best to check on timing in advance. No more than two visitors at a time may be in a patient’s room. Visitors are welcome to join patients for concerts, worship services or special events at the hospital. Children under 14 are not allowed on the Tuberculosis Service unit.
All visitors must clean their hands when they arrive. In addition, if you feel unwell, postpone your visit.
A gift can be lovely but remember to avoid scented plants and products, especially for our respiratory patients. If you bring food, ensure your choices are in line with dietary plans.
Special Considerations When Visiting the Respiratory Care Units
Because people with respiratory diseases and allergies can be greatly affected by the environment, please note:
- Cut flowers and scented flowering plants are not permitted;
- The use of perfume, aftershave lotion, and other scented products is not allowed;
- Latex balloons are not allowed.
